Vision for the Future

Our vision is to create a comprehensive support system that grows with our community. Over the next five years, we aim to:

  • Expand Physical Space and Services: Secure a larger facility for storing donations, hosting parent-child activities, and expanding our educational programming.

  • Develop a 24-Hour Childcare Facility: Provide flexible childcare options, support family economic development, and create jobs for parents.

  • Build Safe Visitation Spaces: Partner with Angela’s Family Services to offer comfortable, supervised spaces for family visitations.

  • Create a Tiny Home Village: Establish a secure, gated housing community for mothers and children, providing a stable environment for healing and growth.

  • Replicate Our Model: Develop a toolkit to share our community-driven prevention model with other rural areas facing similar challenges.

In collaboration with the Colville Women’s Center, we offer comprehensive maternal health services, including contraception education, childbirth classes, and post-birth support. Together, we are committed to enhancing the health and well-being of expecting mothers and their families.

Prenatal Children Medical Clinic Healthcare Colville

The Saturn Clinic is a vital partner in expanding access to healthcare for families in rural areas. With services ranging from urgent care on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month to homebirth options provided by Mary Bachko, DNP, CNM, the Saturn Clinic is dedicated to improving health outcomes for families across the Tri-Counties. They also offer newborn exams, well-woman exams, school physicals, immunizations, and more. Community Projects and Initiatives

As we continue to grow, we are excited to develop a new community center that will include a Family Resource Center, Childcare Center, Community Kitchen, and Parent-Child Visitation Center. This initiative will not only enhance our offerings but also create job opportunities and foster community engagement.

Happy Baby

The WIC Nutrition Program is an essential partner in supporting the health and wellness of families in our community. Offering services through the Northeast Tri County Health District, WIC provides access to nutritious foods, breastfeeding support, health screenings, and referrals to critical health and social services. Serving pregnant women, new and breastfeeding moms, and children under five, WIC helps ensure families have the tools they need to thrive. Through this partnership, The Nest can connect families to additional resources that promote lifelong health and nutrition.

The Nest FRSC - Family Resource and Support Center

Company Story

Founded in July 2023, The Nest began as a grassroots effort to meet immediate family needs in Stevens County, WA, providing essential supplies and support to over 200 families. Operating from a small space within the Saturn Clinic in downtown Colville, we reached families in remote areas through our online presence on the "Stevens County Baby Exchange" social media page and collaborated with the RISE Network. Since then, our impact has continued to grow, and with strong partnerships and community support, we are dedicated to expanding our reach and resources to serve more families in need.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to reduce child maltreatment rates, decrease foster care entries, eliminate racial disproportionalities, and increase resilience within the community. By addressing the factors impacting maternal and infant health, we strive to build a safe, supportive environment where every family has the opportunity to thrive.
